Machine Shops are businesses where fixed or permanent machinery or equipment is used in the custom removal of material to fabricate a finished part. Arrow Pattern & Foundry consists of machines where materials, especially metals, are cut and formed by machine tools for specific engineering requirements. Generally machine shop jobs are low volume using machine tools, such as lathes (including CNC or computer numerically controlled), automatic screw machines and machines for boring, grinding, and milling.
Arrow Pattern & Foundry provides an array of different services, such as broaching, deburring, grinding, honing, and milling. Other capabilities include turning, lapping, boring, etching, and trepanning. Arrow Pattern & Foundry manufactures parts out of a variety of materials such as plastics, aluminum, brass, bronze, and steel. Depending upon the application, several material finishing processes are available including heat-treating, electroplating, welding, black oxide coating, and anodizing.
Arrow Pattern & Foundry also provides a number of services, such as cast tooling, rapid prototype services, reverse engineering, injection mold services, CNC machining, stereolithography, and design assistance.
Arrow Pattern & Foundry uses the latest computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software for part design and part programming and also computer numerically controlled (CNC) metal cutting machines for greater accuracy and repeatability.
Arrow Pattern & Foundry is a state of the art machine shop using automated quick-change pallets to reduce setup time and increase continuous cutting time. Cutting tools are pre-set and loaded into machine tools to increase accuracy and productivity. We can hold .0005in tolerances by leveraging the latest computer controlled software and machines.
Arrow Pattern & Foundry will generally provide prototype development and / or small or large production runs. Typically we will submit a bid for a published request for quote (RFQ). We will review the request and estimate the machining time necessary to complete the part. This would consist of determining the number and type of machine tools to be used, the planning process, type of cutting tools to be used, quality control methods needed and assembly and testing. Arrow Pattern & Foundry can be responsible for the complete manufacturing, quality, assembly and testing of the part.
As for services, Arrow Pattern & Foundry can create a prototype on-site for testing and validation in as little as 3 weeks!
